The firm was commenced by Michael Hardy and Michael Bowen on 1 July 2002.
Since that time the firm has grown to meet client demand and, in addition to the partners, employs six lawyers and appropriate support staff.
Michael Hardy and Michael Bowen were partners of a major national law firm; in the case of Michael Hardy for over 20 years and in the case of Michael Bowen for over 15 years. Their objective for Hardy Bowen was to establish a firm which enjoyed the benefit of the skills and experience garnered from a large firm but applied in the setting of a "boutique" firm focused on particular areas of law and directed toward selected clients.
